The act of Treason to us the citizens occurred when the balloon was allowed to enter U.S. airspace in the first place. It should have been shot down like any other unidentified incursion to our Country. Standard Operating Procedure.
You see, now that it is over populated areas there is little we can do about it. The payload may be biological, say anthrax or maybe an EMP device… and our population is held hostage. Pretty neat trick eh?? All the while our enemy have an untouchable surveillance system above us.
