Zombies?

Did you see that video they made us watch in High School on the horrors of addiction?

It was an experiment with a lab rat, some food and a water bottle laced with cocaine.

They had the food on one side of the cage the water bottle on the other. The Water bottle had a lever on it that if pressed would dispence a drop of that sweet cocaine water. Didn’t take long for the rat to figure out the lever and he would press the lever, drink a drop and then race around the cage during what must have been the mother of uncontrollabe rushes.

At first, on occasion the rat would pause to eat although as time went on eating (or the time it took to eat) decreased to nothing. The rat was taking a hit and racing around in smaller and smaller circles to get back to the next hit quicker.

In the end the poor creature was doing a kind of cartwheel in place – land on the lever, drink a drop, do a flip to get the next drop as quickly as possible. Spinning like a pinwheel on the 4th.

Right now millions of people are repeatedly hitting refresh on facebook…
