Afghan nationals in England and Wales were convicted of sexual offenses at SEVEN FUCKING TIMES the British rate. Middle East and North Africa? 3.6 times. And those figures were already adjusted for age and sex.

So what does The Economist do? Present the disparities on a logarithmic chart that visually compresses the differences, then offer soothing reassurances about why the absolute numbers hardly constitute an epidemic.

Well, isn’t that just fucking wonderful?

Seven times the conviction rate, and the enlightened geniuses of elite journalism are apparently more interested in explaining why everyone should calm the hell down than demanding answers about the policies producing these outcomes.

Then comes the predictable parade of intellectual bullshit.

Consider the demographics! Adjust for population growth! Examine the broader context! And when Danish figures show negative average fiscal contributions among immigrants from certain Middle Eastern and North African populations, out comes another truckload of economic rationalizations.

Every uncomfortable statistic gets smothered beneath another mountain of qualifications. Every legitimate question about public safety or taxpayer burdens becomes an opportunity for some condescending prick to lecture ordinary citizens about statistical sophistication.

And we’re supposed to trust these people?

We’re supposed to believe that institutions seemingly incapable of discussing the consequences of mass immigration without reaching for a fucking calculator, a demographic adjustment, and a comforting explanation are exercising fearless journalistic independence?

Give me a goddamn break.

The arrogance is absolutely staggering. These are the same institutions that demand unquestioning respect for their expertise while treating public concern like an embarrassing outbreak of peasant stupidity.

They publish the figures. They acknowledge the disparities. Then they spend the rest of the fucking discussion explaining why those disparities supposedly shouldn’t alarm anyone.

Meanwhile, the people who approved these policies face precious little scrutiny, and the citizens expected to live with their consequences receive another pompous lecture about nuance.

How spectacularly convenient.

This is how an institution destroys its own credibility. One evasive explanation after another. One uncomfortable question buried beneath an avalanche of qualifications. One more demonstration that protecting the political consensus appears to matter more than confronting its consequences.

And the real damage goes far beyond immigration.

Eventually, citizens become so thoroughly disgusted with the endless institutional ass-covering that even legitimate explanations begin sounding like another carefully rehearsed pile of bullshit.

That’s the final, infuriating achievement of an arrogant media establishment: poisoning public trust so completely that people start questioning the truth itself whenever these sanctimonious bastards open their mouths.
