The revolutionaries promised humanity a paradise. They delivered prisons, mass graves, torture chambers, and mountains of corpses. And somehow, these murderous utopian fantasies still have admirers lecturing the rest of us about compassion.
Stalin spoke movingly about suffering workers while his regime imprisoned, starved, deported, and murdered millions. Mao promised liberation and unleashed the Cultural Revolution, where ideological fanaticism descended into public torture, murder, and even cannibalism. Cambodia’s Khmer Rouge built its agrarian paradise by emptying cities and beating prisoners to death with farm implements to save ammunition.
What a magnificent fucking record of humanitarian achievement.
Every nightmare began with promises of justice. Every atrocity acquired an ideological explanation. Every victim could be sacrificed because the revolution was building something wonderful for humanity.
And whenever the bodies started piling up, the faithful found another excuse. The victims were enemies of the people. The terror was historically necessary. The revolution had been betrayed. The glorious future simply required a few more graves.
The really disgusting part is how little that moral machinery has changed.
Today’s revolutionary romantics didn’t commit Stalin’s or Mao’s crimes. But when activists celebrate terrorists, excuse political murder, or treat innocent victims as disposable because they belong to the wrong side, they’re reviving the same rotten principle: ideological righteousness grants permission for cruelty.
They’ve learned every slogan about historical oppression and apparently missed the entire fucking history of what happens when fanatics decide their cause outranks human life.
Compassion without moral limits becomes a blank check for monsters. The promise of liberation becomes an excuse to destroy anyone standing in its way.
History has already delivered its verdict on these blood-soaked utopias.
The slogans were beautiful. The graves were real. (article below)— Flopping Aces (@FloppingAces) October 24, 2026
