I purchased my house for $599k in 2018 for retirement. This is absolutely unsustainable. In 8 years Oregon has more than doubled my assessed value, taxing me on the already taxed money I used to renovate my home. Assessed values are supposed to be capped at 3% per year. This is robbery.
